These things happen when you contract out coding to the lowest bidder rather than use actual permanent employees. But think of the cost savings.

Boeing gives contract for devices , sensors to many companies.... and it includes honey well too.  so if we want to blames .. yes  desis  suck at programming.. not all but 95%..... honey well banglore.. then again... get parts from tiwan... not sure MCAS component is from which company..it can be local US based or some other... boieng wont give details... its just like apple...   apple gets some tech from qualcomm , nvda, and small vendors from china... and  some name less companies from shenzhen ..... coming to autopilot...its totally on site.... ( yes desis work in boeing alot)...... the problem is like this... they need to know how to override auto pilot with small gap... to mannual... these days... people r lazy to learn things.... simple example : people dont learn  navigation concepts.... like abt interstates... , exits, interstate merge... they blindly rely on navigation...... but when their is no gps.. they r f ..... up....   I do code alot... with many frameworks..in market.. people dont know baisc knowledge of programming..how things really work....in memory... and so they do mistakes by not learning  very basic fundamentals...many students never show interest to learn... the deep roots... they never think "WHY" it was so. they just want to know to "HOW" to use and finish task.. these pilots went under same situation... same boeing 737 max  had similar issue but pilot ovverriden autopilot... and he gave mannual inputs... by checking tail angle....and reached destianation airport and complained abt the issue.    So our desi batch... main objective is to learn how to make dollars or money... but they dont try to put some brain....to learn root concepts.....so...bad.... most say ...." antha time " ledu.....
