So far the police have seized nearly Rs 500 crore of cash and liquor from the Telugu states. As it is elections time, all the political parties are indulging in money matters and trying their best to influence and woo voters. Last evening the police have seized Rs 8 crore worth cash belonging to BJP fund.

With authentic information from their sources, the police have kept pickets at Narayanaguda Y Junction. In their checking, initially they caught two people who were having Rs 2 crore cash. On probing the two men, the police reached Indian bank and detained five others and recovered Rs 6 crore cash from them. In their investigation, the police have claimed that this money belongs to BJP and surrendered it to the IT department. As large amount of money is caught, the police are thoroughly investigation the sources of funds.

Confirming that the money belongs to BJP, the party official spokesperson Krishna Prasad said yes the money is very much is BJP's. "The Rs 8 crore money caught is not an issue at all. We were withdrawing our own party' funds from bank and we are transporting it to our office. Out of nowhere the police arrived and there over enthusiasm is such that they took control of our own money," Krishna Prasad.

Meanwhile Hyderabad CP Anjani Kumar informing the media said as per the directions of Election Commission of India, we are holding checking everywhere and in the next two or three days, more amount of money could be recovered. The police have also deployed additional forces for the checking.
