Gun reform bill passes New Zealand parliament after Christchurch terror attack

The Arms Amendment Bill passed its final reading in New Zealand parliament with nearly unanimous support 26 days after the March 15 terrorist attack on two Mosques in Christchurch. The new law makes military-style semi-automatics and assault rifles illegal and is expected to come into force on Friday.
