Nenu cheppina dantlo 3rd point correct aa kaada ani cheppu ... should the new employer file PERM and I140 (but can use previous PD ) before you file for extension ... I don’t think New employer has to complete 140 before next extension. Old 140 tho you can continue getting extensions. only negative is while new 140 is in process, oka vela date current aite you cannot move forward. CheGuevara
So if the old employer withdraws our i140, we can still get h1b extensions using that same i140? lets say employer a applied i140 and its more than 180 days. And then i got moved to employer b and that employer started the i140 porting process. So before i go to employer c, i need to wait again 180 days after i140 got ported to employer b? Or i can move anytime without waiting ?

So in summary, once appoved i140 is more than 180 days , irrespective of the employer, we have the option to move to any employer without waiting anymore and even though its withdrawn by the first company. correct me if i understand it differently. user789
I know GC is far far far away but just to know current rules- lets say Comp A had your 140 & later rev0ked as you left. Comp B 140 is not appr0ved. IF Your PD becomes current then ? Would you loose that date ? As you need to have active 140 with B or A(to re join A) ?
