Do You Know! Mahesh's Nanamma Is A Farmer

With the film "Maharshi", Mahesh Babu has surely raised the issue of 'neglection of farmers' by all sections of the society. And then, he is reaping appreciations from all sections of society for choosing that subject no matter whether critics loved the film or not.

Senior producer Ashwini Dutt has explained the 'farmer' connect of Mahesh Babu in a different way, as he felt that farming is in the blood of Mahesh. "Hero Krishna garu used to do lots of films on farmers and he himself played a farmer in many movies, and scored silver jubilees. He played it so well because he's the son of a farmer. I went to his home many times and met his mother Naga Ratnamma garu. She used to tell me about the struggles she has faced to farm and how she got succeeded" revealed Ashwini Dutt. 

Well, not just Mahesh Babu, but many Telugu folks do have their roots in farming for sure as most of their grandparents used to cultivate lands, whether an acre or 100s of acres. Maybe that's also one reason why some general audiences got connected to Maharshi heavily.
