It is paid by employer . And it is like 100$ per yr  at Max based on state .

ok ya employer ani  telsu  but want to cross check here on db ,paychex lo chusanu  unemployment tax taxable ani

You don't see as employee . If you are employer you can see it along with state UT  employer fica taxes . And also any local taxes based on city .

You won't get any refunds. Even though it is shown as tax, behind the scenes it is just an insurance managed by the govt.

FUTA = Federal Unemployment tax (employer pays it)

SUTA = State Unemployment tax  (employer pays it)

SDI = State disability tax (employee pays it)

Whenever an ex-employee claims unemployment, employer ends up paying more in unemployment taxes. It is like car insurance: more accidents, more premiums.
