Last month was the second hottest October on record, NOAA reports

The US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) released its October 2019 Global Climate Report on Monday, in which the agency stated that last month was 1.76°F (0.97°C) above the 20th century average, making it the second warmest October since 1880 when records began. Additionally, the report stated the January-October 2019 global average temperature was also second warmest on record at 1.69°F (0.94°C) above average.
