How to not be egotistical about your achievements?

I feel egotistical about my Google scholar citations and h-index, everyday checking citations and having a fake sense of pride. How to avoid this? Because I know I am not smart or anything, I just am lucky for getting the right oppurtunities. How to prevent feeling egotistical about your achievements in life?

Be egositic nothing wrong about it. After all 40 years industry uncles are in US without knowing copy command in linux.

Yeah I used to see how smart people around me are and feel depressed before. But after coming to this DB, my confidence improved. But I need stay on the ground.
