vincent
The district wise poverty rate , in 2011-12 based on Tendulkar poverty line . AP 1. Srikakulam 15.3 % 2. Vizianagaram 13.4 % 3. Visakhapatnam 10.6 % 4. East Godavari 7.5 % 5. West Godavari 4.6 % 6. Krishna district 6.6 percent 7. Guntur district 8.4 percent 8. Prakasam district 11.3 percent 9. SPS Nellore district 10.6 percent 10. YSR Kadapa district 9.8 percent 11. Kurnool district 8.8 percent 12. Anantapur district 10.3 percent 13. Chittoor district 9.5 percent. Telangana 1. Hyderabad 4.4 percent 2. Rangareddy district 5.7 percent 3. Mahbubnagar district 11.9 percent 4. Nalgonda district 10.5 percent 5. Warangal district 10.7 percent 6. Khammam district 10.3 percent 7. Adilabad district 13.1 percent 8. Nizamabad district 9.1 percent 9. Karimnagar district 9.0 percent 10. Medak district 9.8 percent The surprising fact is that Telangana , even without taking Hyderabad into consideration , already had poverty levels similar to other districts of AP back in 2011-12 itself . Now Telangana districts have grown faster and even crossed their AP counterparts by miles ... Telangana backwardness is a myth of the past . Agnes
duh! if its not obvious from the chillara things TG posters fight about. TG is about shaking the power structure, not from the ground up, but just at the top. now the emperor is kind and considerate, and will promise the same things the last one did. I think they use half that to measure it.

vincent
The Tendulkar committee methodology used Mixed Recall Period instead of Uniform Recall Period. It based its calculations on the consumption of the following items: cereal, pulses, milk, edible oil, non-vegetarian items, vegetables, fresh fruits, dry fruits, sugar, salt & spices, other food, intoxicants, fuel, clothing, footwear, education, medical (non-institutional and institutional), entertainment, personal & toilet goods, other goods, other services and durables.
