Panic Buying Hitting Costco and Big Box Retailers: Run on Toilet Paper, Water and Other Necessities

Throughout the country, Costco and a number of big box stores are starting to experience a run on goods as panicked shoppers are starting to prepare for the possibility of a large-scale Coronavirus outbreak in the United States.

 

For over a week, Costco has been sold out of emergency food kits on their website, but now panic buying is starting to hit their warehouse stores as well.

Costco stores around the globe are having a hard time keeping things like toilet paper and water on the shelves, and in some areas have begun restricting purchases of things like toilet paper to five packs per person. 

Here are just a handful of reports from around the U.S.
