My Guess is They might have got the Intelligence that China was not sharing all the data that is actually helpful. I think once the effect of Virus has reached them they realized it and took that turn on the country .... 

Inka regarding calling it Chinese Virus ... USA is trying to Corner China by pointing the finger at them showing and in fact REMINDING and REGISTERING it to the world who is responsible ... China has given enough diplomatic push to give it a different name..... If this naming of it as Chinese Virus is racism there are so many past examples for WHO being racist ... like ZIKA virus... Ebola virus ..... MERS (Is also Corona Virus)...... Where did WHO put its brain ...

Ade I am not sure antunanu ... May be the impact or the way it can transmit between people ... Or the Age group being effected ... like initially old now mid age also ... Or some time back WHO said Transmits through Air .. etc etc ... All the data changes or new things are added once it started effecting the rest of the world ... But they did not know when 80,000 people were effected and then sample data was analyzed from them
