కరోనా సోకిందనే భయంతో ఆత్మహత్య

మాచర్ల గ్రామీణం(గుంటూరు): కరోనా వైరస్‌ సోకిందేమోనన్న భయంతో ఓ వ్యక్తి చెట్టుకు ఉరి వేసుకొని ఆత్మహత్యకు పాల్పడిన ఘటన గుంటూరు జిల్లా మాచర్ల మండలం కొత్తపల్లి గ్రామంలో శనివారం ఉదయం చోటుచేసుకుంది.
 బంధువులు తెలిపిన వివరాల ప్రకారం.. గ్రామంలోని ఎస్సీ కాలనీకి చెందిన అక్కల వెంకటయ్య(55) హైదరాబాద్‌లో భవన నిర్మాణ మేస్త్రీగా పనిచేస్తు్న్నాడు. రెండ్రోజుల క్రితమే గ్రామానికి వచ్చాడు. ఇంటికి వచ్చినప్పటి నుంచి కుటుంబ సభ్యులకు దూరంగా.. ముబావంగా ఉండేవాడు. హైదరాబాద్‌తోపాటు, ఇతర ప్రాంతాల నుంచి వచ్చినవారి పేర్లు నమోదు చేయించుకోవాలని శుక్రవారం రాత్రి గ్రామంలో దండోరా వేశారు. ఇందులో భాగంగా వెంకటయ్య పేరు కూడా నమోదు చేసుకున్నారు. దీంతో తీవ్ర మనస్తాపం చెందిన వెంకటయ్య తన రెండో కుమారుడు శిలువబాబుకు ఫోన్‌ చేసి తనకు కరోనా సోకినట్లు అనుమానంగా ఉందని, తన వల్ల ఊరందరికీ వస్తుందని, గ్రామ శివారులో ఉన్నానని చెప్పి ఫోన్‌ పెట్టేశాడు. కుమారుడు అక్కడికి చేరుకునే సరికి ద్వారకాపూడి రహదారి పక్కన వేపచెట్టుకు ఉరేసుకొని వేలాడుతూ కనిపించాడు. వెంటనే శిలువబాబు పోలీసులకు సమాచారమిచ్చాడు. సాగర్‌ పోలీసులు ఘటనాస్థలానికి చేరుకొని మృతదేహాన్ని పరిశీలించి కేసు నమోదు చేసుకొని దర్యాప్తు చేస్తున్నారు.

With the current lockdown in India, lakhs of daily laborers will die because of lack of food and also incidents like this.. The cure will be worse than the actual prognosis..If they extend the lockdown till June, a million deaths are guaranteed and will also lead to one of the biggest famines India has ever seen..

Still that fear lives forever! I donno how long it will take to get rid of this fear. Naku telesi food kante mandatory thing to carry everywhere would be wipes and hand sanitizers
