The Hungarian parliament passed a law on Monday that extends Prime Minister Viktor Orbán's authority to near "unlimited" power. In the law, which was prompted by the coronavirus crisis, Orbán now has the right to rule by decree indefinitely, and has already proclaimed a number of new measures. Democracy watchers as a result are voicing concern over the PM's tightening grip on the European Union-member country.
