9 years gaa portland lo untunna ...  studied in dallas but never worked there. I love portland than dallas for many reasons. Desi community kooda baane grow avuthundi.  Housing kooda decent price lo untaay (I bought 4 years ago for 400k and manchi school ratings unna area).

Ikapothe paina cheppinattu 9% state tax untundi but no sales tax, you can save a-lot if you are planning on buying a new car etc ..

Also, airport connectivity dallas best annaru, but recent gaa British airways started 1 stop flight to hyderabad and Airfrance, KLM has one stop flights from here.  

Nenu vachina few years rain too much gaa undedhi kaani, recent years lo better ayyindi.

Hiking and Nature ni enjoy cheyyatam istamunte, one of the best place, Number of hiking trails and waterfalls untaayi. Hope this helps.

Dallas Puram over Portland anytime. If you are nature lover, you can always travel to Portaland or Colorado for weekends.

Seems like the people who hate Dallas are the ones who feel inferior/ashamed of being a desi.  You can meet different kids of people in Dallas similar to portland. If you are not a social person it doesnt matter where you live.

Like most people said, Advantages of Dallas are Indian community (for your visiting parents as well as your kids), Housing, food, connectivity,  and jobs.
