Senator Dick Durbin is scheduling a live UC of S.386 — The Fairness for High-Skilled Immigrants Act, this afternoon. 

This shows that our efforts to get this bill back into the public consciousness are working.

But Senator Durbin knows that his compromise with Senator Lee created minor objections with other members that still need to be resolved.

Unless Senator Durbin agrees in good faith to get back into the room and finalize negotiations, we will continue pointing out his discriminatory animus toward Indian immigrants.  

If he takes a reasonable position to try to resolve this, we will actually commend him and his effort. But he must return to the negotiating table to try to get a deal done, as a deal is very close.
