My view is simple. 

Male : em peekavu peeda pillani kanadam tappa

Female : em peekavu pedda job cheyyadam tappa

Both are utter BS statements . Both female and male should agree both are same. evaru ekkuva takkuva kaadu(at work ,college ,family, home etc where ever it is). At times one works and at times other cannot. Part and parcel of life

Unfortunately it is easy to say but hard to follow.

Just that you were never treated like a woman at work. I am just surprised you never had any problems with your subordinates. I especially have problems working with subordinates, mostly older men who have PhDs, a lot of men don't necessarily listen to me despite being my subordinates because they are older than me, and also because they are men.
