Indian Drugs and Pharmaceuticals ani PSU, tarvata sick ayi close chesinaru but till 80’s, it was the predominant manufacturer of drugs in India, monopoly. And IDPL’ Bulk drug  and API units were based out of Hyderabad. This is where it all started..

More or less all the successful drug companies  in and around Hyd today have some or the other links with IDPL including Dr.Reddy’s,Bharat Biotech,Natco, Aurobindo, Sun Pharma etc. 1991 economic reform tarvata it became much more easier for this business and this is where the drugs business started taking shape.

Much before CBN even dreamt of becoming CM, Hyd was premodimant player in Pharma market.
