High schooler wants MacBook, but I said go with something Dell. I am looking for a light weight , thin laptop. Expert’s please suggest, I am not a techie.

US lo ayithey , the new base macbook air is pretty good deal for 899 . The performance offered is unmatched by any windows laptops at this price range and hence it should last a while . It's pretty light , thin and has great battery life .

Or if you are unwilling to spend that much on a kids laptop go with the cheapest ultrabook you can get with amd 4500u CPU .
