if you have applied concurrent , after filing 485 6 months  is fine 

stand alone 140 yes you have to wait 6 months

thanks... I did downgrade from EB2 to Eb3 so concurrent filing of I-140 and 485 was filed in Oct 2020. SO If I have to switch job I don't have to wait anymore.

I am still using H1b, so new employer other than H1b transfer what else I have to ask regarding GC/485  application ?

@csrcsr uncle...lawyers are agreeing to do new 485 with eb2 but are saying that my old downgrade 485 and corresponding ead/ap will be revoked. Any suggestion

That's means they have not filed your old eb3 in "NEW"?? Instead they filed as "amend"  is that reason ?

Or he might be saying when adjudication comes if uscis asks to revoke one then then ead ap associated to them might be gone we need to understand bro

They say you cannot have two 485s active. So they will send revoke petition for already filed 485(it was eb2 to eb3 new) . Since ead/ap which was already issues is linked to old 485...they also get revoked

Two 485s can be active bro based on shihib and reddy uncles and challa aunty also said same thing 

Not sure where it is coming we will learn more as days come I think

You should pursue ev2 if two are active else just stay bro my opinion
