You should receive a receipt to your address most of the time for EADs applicant address will be provided 

but not sure in your case if you have filled G-1145 form I.e . E notifications from USCIS … you will get text notifications

@csrcsr If we apply for I-140 (in different catergory) while the I-485 is a field office, will that cause A-file to move back to service center ?
