I think it is needed for sure for 485. You are correct about EAD. You can get EAD without fingerprints. Haven't seen anyone who got GC without fingerprints yet.

If you donwgraded no 485 j bro , direct ki vastayi 485j , yes if you submitted medicals, and officer opens you will get 485 approved , else you will be issued rfe
