Unfortunately DevOps is a widely misused term right now. There's a lot for DevOps and every requirement is different because you are not focused on the technology but methodologies. And there's SRE which overlaps with DevOps as well.

It all depends on the requirements koncham non production env ithe survive avvochu easy ga ne. If it's production then kastam because there are many tools and technologies you need know in w very short amount of time. And development experience koncham ayina undali  atleast to understand code and scripts.

Not sure if moving to DevOps is a right option now as mana vallu full ga billing ni nakinchesaru!!

I'm a team lead in a very big company and ma dantlo ne there are DevOps teams who use different tools and methodologies. So it's very wide range and it al depends on requirements and luck.

Worked on some devops tools like Jenkins, Docker, some Kubernetes on Azure cloud, puppet etc however these days almost devops positions ki developer range lo interview chestunnaru with white board coding etc. Akkadochindi problem ippudu koorchuni python learning and practicing.
