logical ga kuda, good stocks don't fall so much that we want to average(there are always exceptions). we try to average when a stock falls drastically and unless the reason for downfall is rectified(which may take time or may never happen) that stock won't be back up. Similarly we should reward the stock that is going up (not short term but long term) but we generally don't as we think that price is high. This is how we miss good stocks and end up with bad ones in my experience.
