options lo question:

Suppose I have call expiring in june for strike price 40 and the stock reaches above 40 before june, let's say in may. Assuming the stock price will remain same till june(above 40) is there any incentive to hold on to them till june?

oops, no december. 

Calls expiring in June, strike price is 40.

But stock reaches 40 in May and i'm ITM. If stock price stays there till June is there any advantage to hold on to those options instead of selling in may? I know if stock price keeps increasing the profit keeps increasing but what if it holds there at 40?
