Only Compared to white rice(not talking about carbs or calories) from nutrition standpoint chapati contains more fiber and protein then white rice.

US is now running behind rice, have you see a whole lot of ad's around rice

brown rice come with all the benefits without the gluten issue from wheat, many people are not even aware of their gluten sensitivity issues until they see health issues already

why eating chapati is considered healthy?

anything that has lower glycemic index is good, sona masoori has high GI, if you are used to Brown rice, then rice is good than chapatis

https://www.health.harvard.edu/diseases-and-conditions/glycemic-index-and-glycemic-load-for-100-foods

looks like chapatti has lower GI than brown rice.

FOOD Glycemic index (glucose = 100)
HIGH-CARBOHYDRATE FOODS
White wheat bread* 75 ± 2
Whole wheat/whole meal bread 74 ± 2
Specialty grain bread 53 ± 2
Unleavened wheat bread 70 ± 5
Wheat roti 62 ± 3
Chapatti 52 ± 4
Corn tortilla 46 ± 4
White rice, boiled* 73 ± 4
Brown rice, boiled 68 ± 4
Barley 28 ± 2
Sweet corn 52 ± 5

but one easily add more curry and add ghee to get the GI down even in case of Brown rice
