Universities like Madras Uni, Andhra Uni, IIT Roorke, Calcutta Uni, Bombay Uni, Aligadh Muslim Uni, Allahabad Uni and etc. Local train infrastucure in cities like Chennai, B'lore, Mumbai and Calcutta. If we quantify that infrastucture in today's money its not small amount. My native place is next to the NH5. I know the value of these national highways. It was only after Vajpayee came into power, they have been expanded.. Consider the dams like Dhavaleswaram, Periyar they built. What they looted and what they gave us are not comparable. They have definitely looted alot. If you compare the devolution of taxes today, north India and Gujrat has replaced the British. Nothing much has been changed in south. Congress has atleast built the dams and established companies like IDPL, BHEL, ECL, Vizag Steel and etc. Vajpayee Govt also did well. Modi's BJP is curse on South India.
