But I can understand measuring sizes for sushi though, if u don't slice them properly in right sizes  it gets disintegrated and falls apart.

That is correct. Not denying that fact. But there is no need to use a ruler to measure size for each and every potato piece like my husband did. 😂 U can make use of symmetry to chop it right

He has a little device that he uses for baking (he bakes pro level). He just uses that for cooking as well. A weighing scale, ruler, thermocouple are all just kitchen aids in my house.
