The massive container ship Ever Given has been stuck in the Suez Canal, the world’s busiest shipping route, for almost four days now. And a recent media statement from the technical management of the ship Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement says that the crew onboard are Indians.

“All 25 crew are safe and accounted for. All crew are Indian nationals and remain onboard. The crew are working closely with all parties involved to re-float the vessel. The hard work and tireless professionalism of the Master and crew is greatly appreciated,” said the company.

More like educated people outside India are not desperate enough to work in the terrible jobs without any regulations in the shipping industry .

American crew member can cost upto 200k for a six month stint , you can hire an entire crew of indians for the same salary and provide no facilities

If it takes weeks, then it will have ripple effects... Ships needs to go around africa which will add time and money

But the goods will be spoiled off and some of the ships might run out of the fuel creating even more problems.

In actuality it should decrease fuel prices in india , since the supply to Europe if blocked and they need to redirect ships to Asia
