Costco once got it for $110 baa…I picked the last bottle …but very rare to find it @csrcsr

Beginners--- 

Start with monkey shoulder (very affordable)
Tamnavulin (mostly duty free, very cheap but tastes very good)
Macallan 12 is 80 bucks but see if you can find maroon box, if not get the black box. No blue box. 
Glendronach- my favorite, this is a new competitor to Macallan in future
Costco's 18yr since price is below 100 ...try it. It said to be sourced from Macallan
Springbank 10- Great juice..if you love it...you will have to shell out money for the 15 and 18 yr ones
Gameof Thrones series lo Clynelish I liked, its a bit high proofer but good drinker
 

Indri (from India) is somethin I tried recently... very good. Its non chill filtered, no added colors and all purity. 

I know most of us dont like smokey (peated) whiskies so not gonna mention those
Text me when you go thru the basic ones... can explore more into taliskers, bowmores, amrut Cask strengths, port charlottes,Arbegsm, Bunnahabains, etc

Stop chasing the highest aged whiskies...aged does not mean good. Dont waste money on glengrants, Mac18, grangestones,glengoynes-- atleast no the recent years ones

If you want aged and cheaper, go for glenfarclas....it has good reviews
if you want show off ...get Blue label Ghost and Rare.. not the regular ones
Chivas 21- but not recent yrs... go as back as 2015
Ballantines 30 yr- Some are still available in stores with tax stamps on them , that signifies they are from 2000s or older. Cheers
