16-year-old girl gang-raped by 8 men in front of parents to exact 'revenge' for brother's elopement

Bareilly: A 16-year-old girl was allegedly gang-raped in front of her parents by eight men as they wanted to take revenge. The accused allegedly wanted to take revenge as the teen's elder brother had eloped with a woman from their family. The incident took place at a house near the Amroha railway station in Uttar Pradesh. 

Allegedly, the teenager's brother had eloped with a woman from the accused's family and they were upset over the same. On June 28, the teenager and her parents were taken to the house by their neighbours to look for the missing couple. 

Teen gang-raped in front of parents 

After being taken to the house, the girl was allegedly thrashed and gang-raped by the missing woman's brothers, father and uncles in front of her parents. The girl's father also alleged that one of the accused married her off without their consent. On June 29, the accused asked the girl's parents to leave and threatened to murder her if they lodged a complaint. 

The survivor's family alleged that they had approached the police but a complaint was not filed. However, an FIR was registered when the girl narrated her harrowing tale.

'The accused are very influential'

The accused have been booked under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. Reportedly, both the families were well-acquainted with each other but their equation took a turn for the worse when the two youngsters eloped on June 27.

thats how things go there 

law is not same at least at common man level if not for big shots

as society requires big shift , they have to cross regional n caste issues otherwise law is never gonna be with common man there
