Don't know if it was staged or true. But Satyam CFO that time also attempted suicide. And I can recall at least few employees who died With suicide fearing losing jobs. 

He was great business man. Wish he didn't fell into that greed of being number one at any cost. He missed golden time of last decade in which virtually all major companies had tremendous growth. Satyam would have been one of the top major companies now. He could have achieved all the growth he wanted to without need to cook books.
