Big Blow: CM Jagan removes Roja as APIIC Chairman

The Andhra Pradesh government led by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has announced the fulfilment of the nominated posts in the state on Saturday.

The announcement came as a big shock to actress-turned-politician Nagari MLA Roja, as she was removed from the Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation Ltd (APIIC) chairman post.

This news has added fuel to the reports that Roja has been sidelined in the party. The reports which claim that YSRCP has been taking Roja lightly emerged when Jagan did not take her in the Cabinet list.

However, the YSRCP made her APIIC chairman, which deals with providing infrastructure. Now removing her from the post has left Roja and her followers in a deep shock.

It is also said that, Roja might get a Cabinet post in the second part of Jagan government's tenure.Before announcing his cabinet, Jagan said after two and a half years, his cabinet will be reshuffled with new members.

As part of this, Roja is likely to get a Cabinet post in Jagan Mohan Reddy's Cabinet. However, there is no official confirmation on this.The Andhra Pradesh government has named Mettu Govardhan Reddy as the new APIIC Chairman. He will be replacing Roja as Chairman.
