Frankly i felt if KCR would have focused on devadula that would have been much beneficial to telangana … lakhs of crores invested on kaleshwaram without much returns, kaleshwaram is always a liability for future generations

Now srsp going to mid maneru using flood canals from gangadhara boinpally.. and same srsp goes to lmd via old linkage from kothapally..

srsp alone doesn’t have the capacity to give enough water to Gangadhara boinpally ramadugu mandals.. mahanetha punyama ani flood canals giving good water to surrounding villages, laxmipur pump house will Make sure these mandals will have enough water in any season. Narayanpur reservoir also helping near by villages ( ee lift irrigation also mahanetha punyame)

Devadula la kosam samakka sarakka (tupakulagudem) completed this year, the project is intended for Warangal only and part Nalgonda .

The ingenuity of the project is that it works both ways - fill srsp when it is drought or use srsp to fill balancing reaerviours when it floods, last 10 years lo SRSP 2 times nindindi(last year and this year). SRSP nindite 70% lifting karchu tappidi and as a bonus as part of kaleshwaram they constructed 3  barrages in godavari bed holding almost 30 tmc of water that can be used whenever needed throughout the year.

that is half the project and the remaining missjng piece is mallanna sagar a 50 TMC reservoir , the heart of the project is mid manair and from there the water needs to be pumped to the highest point which is mallanna sagar which is a 50 TMC reserviour and it doesn’t have any natural flow but alone through lifting. From mallaanna sagar everything is gravity fed to other districts.

Climate change is real, like el Nino effect we also have a extreme drought followed by wet seasons as observed here in the states, better store and use water religiously
