occupation of water bodies can't be reversed for the most part. they can construct alternate pathways for water to drain.

more importantly, personal transport should be heavily taxed, and parking fees and its enforcement should make owning cars prohibitory.

roads should be narrowed, flyovers destroyed.

then Dams should all be destroyed..

For personal cars to go away you need robust public transport which is lacking

If it was cheaper to build on non-marsh lands, why do you think marsh lands were occupied to build them?

public transport is lacking precisely because govt privileges the assholes driving cars. It applies not just to India, but also the US, and China. Newyork and San Francisco exceptions.

Thankfully India's car ownership ship is minimal, but still a lot can be done to discourage people from driving. and investing on roads to improve their 'experience'. lol.

Cities must be stripped off majority of its wide roads. Housing should encourage 10-15 storey buildings with minimum energy usage.

Individual houses and expansive lawns should be banned. Golf should be banned. sick sport.

Cities should have 50% park space, and everything must be available at walkable distance. cities should comprise of a thousand little cities with a self contained economy.

those who want to live independent lives should be forced to move out of the city into rural areas and the govt should refuse to provide them any services. and also be charged heavily for every natural resource they exploit to live their pathetic lives.

No. electric vehicles are a no-no too. The idea of a car itself is repulsive. Electric motors and battery don't make it suddenly appealing.

cars expand city limits, and so must be restricted. more people must walk and use the metro
