definitely one of the wonders of the world...single stone nunchi carve out antey ippudu vunna technology tho kooda antha easy task kaadhu that too with amazing precision...and the material quarried from that region was no where to be seen in the surrounding area..

220,000 tonnes of basaltic rock has been quarried ...BTW basaltic rock is considered one of the toughest rock to work on..and that is what makes this one of the most fascinating constructions....

i dont think they started it from  top, according to my understanding they dug  deep open culvert in U shape so that labours can work freely , which will leave a big rock at the center from there  they started carving from the bottom level. Nevertheless its still a marvel. Whistle Gif GIFs | Tenor
