About the Fundraiser

I watch him battle for his life every single day and it pierces my helpless heart that I cannot do anything about it. 

What could cause greater pain to a parent?

We are poor labourers and don’t have many means in our humble lives. Yet when our baby came into our lives, we were overjoyed. His laughter made all our worries and pains go away. 

But tragically enough, our bliss was cruelly short lived.

 

 

As we held our little Harshith in our arms, we got the devastating news of his heart ailment. 

Our baby’s little heart was giving up every minute, as he looked up and smiled at us with his innocent eyes. 

We were shocked. Ever since then, we have been trying to get hold of the reality that his life is slipping away. 

Slowly, thereafter, his breathing became strained and his appetite reduced, leaving him exhausted and sullen. As parents, we simply watched him slowly succumb as we ran from door to door of each hospital looking for a definitive cure for our baby.

 

 

We travelled all the way from our village district in rural Telangana to a big city hospital only to be met with a bleak hope that a surgery may give him a hope for survival. 

Doctors have said that he has to undergo an open heart surgery followed by a stay in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit and prolonged hospital care. 

With this hopeful update, we started rallying all our efforts to gather the requisite amount of Rs 3,50,000 ($ 4678.99).

 

 

We have borrowed from our relatives, fallen in debts from moneylenders, but still have been unable to gather the amount needed for our baby’s treatment.

Already, a huge amount of our savings have already gone into his initial diagnosis and treatment. But despite all our dire efforts, we know our baby’s heart is weakening every single day. 

We are barely carving out a hand to mouth existence, only with the hopes that each penny we save is going to go towards our baby’s treatment.

 

 

But, gathering the entirety of the finances is still a very impossibly oppressive task for us. 

We’re desperate now. With no source of funding and all diminishing hopes, we are turning to you.
