Starting physical classes after more than one year would be full of emotions and fresh attempts all over again. After a long wait, schools and colleges in Telangana will finally reopen for physical classes from September 1. The latest reports suggest that the state government intends to commence classes for students above class 8.

Telangana’s education department has submitted a report to the chief minister stating that the educational institutions can be reopened as the COVID-19 cases are under control. Chief Minister KCR is yet to take a final decision in this regard.

KCR will call for a high-level meeting with the education department officials in a day or two. Currently, all the classes are being held online. The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE), department of technical education, and Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) have said that they have not received any information from the state on the subject yet.

A couple of months ago, the education department gathered feedback from schools and colleges in this regard.

According to the union education ministry, Lakshadweep, Puducherry, Nagaland, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Haryana, and Himachal Pradesh have reopened schools as of August 2. Andhra Pradesh is also looking forward to reopening schools and colleges as soon as possible.
