Both have high annual fee 550 vs 695 $, do not go for high annual fee cards as a rule unless you aim is to churn cards quickly (which I personally do not prefer)

The problem with these high annual cards is that you will think you are getting cash back but they are just giving some benefits from the annual fee you are paying , you are better off using a cash back card with broader categories

These cards are primarily focussed towards travel , hotels , airlines , dining etc , so if you are not spending enough in these categories this may not be a correct card for you..think hard..

At this time, chase sapphire preferred (via a referral) has the best offer. $95 annual fee, 100K Chase UR (~$1250 value)

Public offer is 60k but referral links are still 100K.

Before applying for any Chase card - read this very thoroughly

especially these posts

After the 1st year - if you dont value the $95 fee - downgrade that to Chase Freedom/FreedomFlex which are very good cards and no fee.

The key value for a fee-based chase card (Sapphire preferred, reserve, ink etc.) is they come with "real" ultimate rewards which you can transfer to partners like United, Southwest, Hyatt etc.

Fee based cards are a nice niche if you know what you are doing and have very good discipline. It is not for everyone,

Before anyone comes with Ramsey like comments, save them to your keyboard.
