Back then salaries were not unrealistic.

A senior teacher is earning above 1 lakh per month nowadays , they will not get 15 k in private sector for lot more work.

Either salaries become realistic or there will be no hiring permanent employees

Teachers deserve that much salary, period. High salaries are the only way they can hire talent. Teachers deserve more salary than a lot of other useless professions.

Then ask Narayana and chaintanya to pay them that much salary .Teachers are the most grossly overpaid govt servants due to politics

The per capita income of Andhra is just 20k   , an average govt teacher is paid three times as much

The pay scale of govt teachers in andhra matches that of IIT professors , complete joke to compare the two

Changing times...may be Government should experiment encouraging private players in the primary education system...like teacher training, curriculam, extra curricular activities, spoken english etc.

Byju's vala degara already manchi proven curriculam vunde vuntadi and Government has decent infra these days...may be we should experiment in a district to see how the response is..

Infra is owned by the government...get in private players and see what they can offer in terms of learining, retaining the existing teachers and improving their standards..
