Its not as if such arrests aren't already made now. Just that it'll be even more normalized, because they found a dumbfcuk sanghi to take the fall for them in one pointless case.

It was wrong to arrest that guy who sent vulgar threats to Kohli on his kid.

this will only be used further to jail random people for lame reasons like just saying 'kill modi'.

I sorta agree , action should have been taken on him only if kohli or anushka complain about harassment

Judiciary cannot solve a simple open and shut case for 10-15 years , more firvalous cases like abuse on social media will further strain the broken system

Perhaps a new Organization to handle complaints on social media abuse should be created.

If the comments are deemed dangerous enough then it should be escalated to police / other authorities

just let twitter deal with abuse on their platform.. and other platforms on theirs. govt can directly push those platforms to set up grievance cells and make sure they are acting on them.

arresting people based on stupid sh1t they say on social media is silly

even in this db, people used to make comments like that freely. most people online are just idiots. they don't deserve to go to jail for being idiots. unless they are doing something sinister in real.

Anchor Anasuya ipatiki cyber crime ki oka 100 complaints aina ichi vuntadi...rape threats and death threats vachinayi social media la ani...

Time and resources both are waste in these cases.

Every cuss word in India can be realted to either rape or death threat....boothu tittina prati okkadi mida case pedutha iga ayinatte...sedition ke dikku ledu ra babu ie desham la ante iga social media threats ni evadu pattinchukovali...

but that's the reality of online existence.

culture change avvali, for that people should create a culture online consciously and slowly. Not depend on offline judges to give super fast solutions to problems that were created in a new medium of communication.

unless a person physically harms/harasses a person, law enforcement shouldn't even be involved.
