NMC officials said that a three-member team from Mali had reached Nashik city on Sunday for official work and was put up in a hotel. Seven of the cases were from Mumbai and one from the Vasai Virar corporation. The Mumbai cases were contacts of a positive person who had returned from London and subsequently tested positive for Covid. State health authorities said that out of the 8 patients, three were women and five men. All infected are in the age group of 24 years to 41 years. More than 62,17,862 vaccine doses have been administered till 7 pm. The daily vaccination tally is expected to increase with the compilation of the final reports for the day by late night, the ministry said.
