Every property has assessed value. It is different from purchase value.  Depending on cost of land, building and interiors - county assesses a value and your tax is determined as per that.

Any good place in and around Austin , Texas to buy house. I know lot of ppl lately moving to Texas. I heard Georgetown is good area, how are schools in this area?
