@quickgun_murugun leaving Austin, Is it still worth to move to Northern TX cities like Frisco, Prosper etc.. schools ratings are really good.. 650K houses 850 ala unnayi.. looks next yr will go much higher.. only great depression may bring prices down.. any idea about celina ? I don't see any desi grocery or restaurants. closest is Frisco..

comparatively moving to one of the Northern cities is good if you are moving for family long term.  Definitely good schools, infrastructure and connectivity. Not “really good” if you are moving coz your professional life has got some flexibility due to Covid situation!

you go to Tampa, St Louis , Phoenix-  average price for quality housing are closing at 800k-$1million. At least with Austin,  there are very positive vibes and high paying jobs getting created which in turn will help house values to stay stable or appreciate more for next 5 years. Largest FDI investment from Samsung is no joke. Mass migration from Seatle and Bay Area is happening. So bhayya Austin story ippudey modalaindhi.

thanks bhayya. Planning to move with family with kids.

those north texsas cities seems to be gone out of my reach. looking for homes around 500k.

just wondering how the houston area will be for long term stay as it is close to San Antonio and Austin.

If you have a job there and moving there it makes complete sense but if you are remote and moving it isn’t worth it. Austin also now around same range now as far as price is concerned. My friend got a new home in lutz near Tampa pretty big house with swimming pool and .25 acre lot for 750k which would cost easily over a million in Austin. My problem with Austin is the current home prices to what it offers in terms of infra, entertainment and outdoor activities, places to visit. As many suggested what it used to be is not what it is right now.
