It’s not bone head. Let’s say you are applying For job and salary ranges say 130k - 190K. Will you ask for 130K or 190K?? It’s a stupid move by govt to setup min and max price. One price set cheyali. Why would any movie producer will sell it for less price if govt allows

Not the right comparison...

I don’t know why do govt gives ranges and why would any producers agree he made a cheap movie so pay me cheap

No, they should have used it for big budget movies and special and premier shows only

This issue has been a long contentious as exhibitors want to set their own price like other states and cities. Government/exhibitors is vary of the fact that small movies will not attract audiences like big movies and hence the lower limit(demand supply thing), a variable which they want to adjust without requiring any permissions. The exhibitors control their fate, if they price too high then they lose money.

price cap haas it’s disadvantages as welL. Bangalore has more imax and gold class theaters for a reason. In Telangana and AP, all theaters were brought under the same cap which will be detrimental for refined experience like new upgrades etc. In other major cities, IMAX and Gold class are not subjected to the same cap limits

paisal vunnodu sustadu...lenodu sudadu...telangana la ie lavadala cinema pichi jara takkuve...

Infact, this dynamic pricing will set the demand pricing into play.

If exhibitors decide to max out on the first 3 days, people will wait for the fourth day for the prices to come down and if the same thing happens frequently, there will be less audience in the initial days.

Eventually ticket price control avutadi...will match the demand-supply pricing.

AP gov is killing all the exbhitors and partially industry By keeping 90s rates in 20s

TG exbhitors killing small/medium movies by keeping max cap prices

Not really man, Telangana's ticket pricing policy will eventually help all type of movies. Big budget or budget movies, it's just that we are not used to dynamic pricing but once that kicks in, every kind of movie will be able to mint money relative to its budget. Ipudu ante covid, dorikinalla kada paisal vasooli nadustadi but give it few months after things settle down, every movie hall will have its own ticket rates...syndicate  pricing poyi dynamic pircing ki vachestadi..!

We should welcome such a move.
