Rohit has stepped up as a test player last 2 years and he is top scorer for India in the last WTC cycle while the numbers of Rahane , Pujara & Kohli dipped..

Rohit will be the immediate captain to turn to since he has limitied overs format captaincy too, may be KL rahul will be groomed as VC.

 

Now its time for Rohit & Rahul to take full charge and infuse new blood in to middle order leaving out Pujara & Rahane..

May be we can even see Rohit drop down to No:3 if needed and Shreyas Iyer at No:5.
