we are talking about tests annayya.. ODI, T20 emundhi luck unte bangladesh kooda win avtundi repu world t20. edho koncham happiness anthey that your team won.

but test is another matter. Dhoni won only 28 tests.. Kohli won 41. there's no contest at all.

It was ganguly and dravid as captains that faced the toughest australian teams. Ricky Ponting, especially was reduced to a shadow of his former self by the time Dhoni became captain.

Michael Clarke was brilliant, but only for an year and a half. Everyone from warne, mcgrath, gillespie had retired by the time dhoni was captain. Only the overrated brett lee serving up full deliveries was left. It was one of the weakest australian era that dhoni had faced.

There is just lots of questions marks on many players being sureshot picks for Tests... Rahul also got in to it just last year from england tour.

We have see Rohit may drop down to No:3.  Gill got chances and then form dipped he shall be in the mix even Prithvbi shaw shall be there..

Gill has tiume in hand as of now.

If see either Rohit/Rahul taking No:3 more so Rohit, Kohli at No:4 & then Shreyas Iyer at No:5. Mayank could continue as another opener.

KL Rahul is in the team only because he plays the other formats too. Purely based on his test record, his place should be in question.

KL just came back from around last england tour before that place of his was question mark in test team so no point in giving him captaincy now..

His record in 2018 & 2019 was awful and didn't play any tests in 2020, made a come back to team in 2021 due to various reasons dip of shaw , gill injury/form dip. He is just settling in to XI.

Where as Rohit had fantastic 2019 & very good 2021 where he highest test run getter in last WTC cycle.
