people are underestimating Jagan. Especially the upper middle class who like to yak yak yak as if they understand everything under the sun.

They just don't want the poor to have options and to say no to slavery under them.

upper middle class discourse is the worst in all countries. especially worse in India because open calls for cutting back on freebies, without any data on how it benefits people and the overall economy.

Last 5yrs(2017 nundi) lo idhey the biggest growth rate in AP

the logic is simple.

govt can spend 30k crores on a metro, that makes only a couple thousand crores in revenue with an operating loss every year. People will maximum hope there is a way metro becomes sustainable in the future, because they love traveling with the a/c and well maintained stations. Most won't cry about waste of money in this project. It is investment for the future for them.

but if the govt does the same and increases social spending, then all pitchforks are out. Even when there's an increase in revenue to the govt as a result. There wont be any efforts, studies on how to further target social spending, but instead to do away with them because its apparently 'making people lazy'.

everyone is out for themselves. To save their place in the social hierarchy. Too bad those who actually receive the freebies don't have much voice, beyond their vote once in 5yrs.

already cheppa kadha. that people are against certain type of investments, even when most public investments (including ones on infrastructure) take a long time to pay off.
