12 laks sal is not a great salary now a days, you cant even own a house in 10 yrs... govt job is no more a secure job like it was earlier... within 8-10 years lo performance based vastadhi the way changes are happening in the govt sector...

Also, why do you think about post retirement... young age lo money earn cheyapothe after 50 its not easy... I have seen many people in govt sector got retired without even owning a house... 

society lo govt job ani mind lo padi andaru secure safe ani cheptaru...

IT lo may be 6-7 laks package starting undachu but machi grip vaste within 5yrs you can make 40-50laks... which is not possible in govt sector....

Decide on your career or passion for next 15-20 years ... money doesn't become a criteria then and will automatically come...
