pulirex1
need some info, current interest rate is 4.59% but expected home completion date is around mid june which puts me in a 90 day lock period. is it better to lock the rate with additional point cost of 6k? also if i wanted to search for lenders how can i start searching without have a credit hit just to get a quote. tia

Wells Fargo does extended locks up to 180 days for 3k upfront fee, BOFa does it for 4k for the same. Go to the branch, they will help you out. There are others do lock for up to 120 days for 4k fee rolled into closing costs. I can give the contact if you want

I dont know why people worry about hard pull when interest rates are going up. what will u do with higher interest rates and keeping ur credit scores? It differs from case to case basis for getting right rate.
