Bro merit is still there..90 marks out of 100 ..8 marks difference between rich vs poor upper caste..

 

UPSC Prelims Cut Off Marks 2019 (Out of 200)

The Cut-off score of General Category (open merit) remained the same as in 2018, ie 98 marks out of 200. However, the introduction of Economically Weaker Section Reservation (EWS) was the major change last year.

The cut-off scores are as below.

  • General – 98.00
  • EWS – 90.00
  • OBC – 95.34 (in 2018, it was 96.66)
  • SC –  82.00 (in 2018, it was 84.00)
  • ST – 77.34 (in 2018, it was 83.34)
  • PwBD‐1 – 55.34
  • PwBD‐2 – 44.66
  • PwBD‐3 – 40.66
  • PwBD‐5 – 61.34
  • PwBD means – Candidates belonging to Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD)

you did not get what i am saying. Now EWS OC's are getting jobs scoring less than OBCs but nobody is saying why less merit is rewarded, country is going to dogs because of these ews upper caste gatra

a lot of cope.. lite teesko.

reseervation was apparently stopping lot of merit OC people, but that the cut off is lower than OBC means that contention is a false one.

point is not how rich got money..govt is c”giving reservations to poor OC folks which was not the case before.

Is EWS only for OCs? I expect all castes to be eligible under this category!

Under privileged OC are getting the jobs..overall funda of reservations is to uplift every one right..
